The Rainbow Boa gets its name from the iridescent sheen of its scales.
They are live bearing- 10 to 30 neonates. And all possess heat sensitive
labial pits*.
* Labial pits (heat-sensitive pits) border the mouth
of the snake which aid in locating its warm blooded prey.
